Colbie Caillat – Realize

Guard Your Heart

Photobucket

On the topic of love, I scored low. You can even say that I barely pass the test. Failed relationships doesn’t always leave you scarred and helpless. Sometimes, it taught me one of life’s most precious lesson-guard your heart. But then again, you will see in the bible, we were told repeatedly to love. If love is what we are to do, then do we still get hurt when we love?

Recently, something kinda unhappy happened back home. I was really upset about the whole situation. In spite of all the nasty circumstances, I held on firmly to my life’s mission-to live a life of love(Ephesians5:1-2) . Love even when it hurts. Someone once said, “The person who hurt you the most are most likely the one whom you loved the most.” Truly, such wisdom, it echoes the whole situation. Yet, I am not ready to give it all up. May the amazing love which touches the deepest of my being touch this person as well.

One failed relationship taught me well on guarding my heart. Never allow anybody/anything other than yourself to control your feelings and emotions. Though people may be part of your life, they should never be the captain of the ship, steering your emotions in whichever direction they find delight. That lesson has since come a long way in helping me to guard my heart.

Another of my favourite love strategy is to wait. A common saying, time will tell, speaks lotsa wisdom in this case. Love stands the test of time. Splendidly well-said! A love that changes over a course of time isn’t something worth pursuing. I thank God that I have waited (not long though) to see how fickle-minded guys can get. It was a subtle disappointment. But why should I have any expectations in them in the first place to get disappointed? Let it be say of me, my hope, my strength and my joy is in Him alone. =) Even Solomon urges us not to act prematurely, but to wait patiently.

Song of Solomon 8:4 (New International Version)

4 Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you:
Do not arouse or awaken love
until it so desires.

This moment on, I’m freezing up my heart. Another minor disappointment today makes me realise that man isn’t someone whom I can entrust my heart to. Sorry guys, it just get more difficult with increasing disappointments.

Embrace singlehood! I may be alone but not lonely! Cheers! =)

Only by freezing my heart will I not get hurt ever again…

Bethia’s Camera Fund

Hmm studying at the student lounge was so not productive. Bumped into a JC classmate who happened to sit at the table next to mine. I guess he hasn’t changed the slightest bit-like previous years, he talked non-stop. Most of the time, while trying to concentrate, I can hear his crap talk. And thanks for spilling out all the unglam stuff I did in JC ya. =p

Dinner @ Beppu Menkan was awesome. *sigh* Without my camera, i can’t take anymore pictures. But seriously, dinner was hilarious. Half the time, me and Jeremy was laughing at Teck Sheng cos he was perspiring profusely from eating the 2 chilli Ramen. heh.. Oh wells, Chilli Queen attempted the 6 chilli Ramen, boy, it was good!! haha finally there is some kick in eating chilli. My tongue is not dead after all! =) Heee, dinner companion’s simply fantabulous! Thanks guys!

Oh in case you are wondering what to get for me for my birthday (oops so thick-skinned hahahaa), you might wanna contribute to Bethia’s Camera Fund. =) Any amount is welcomed. After all, it is really the thought that counts. =) Like what Eric said, “Ask all your boy boy to pool in the money.” haha yeah right, you think so easy ar??? I DUN HAVE ANY BOY BOY LO!!!

You may drop your monies into my piggybank!! LOL yayness~

PS: Monies= Lotsa lotsa money. It is plural so monies… ok that was just another of my nonsense. =)

Utterly downcast

Photobucket

I woke up feeling hopeful. Maybe someone borrowed my camera without telling me. I went for another round of thorough search. No sign of it. This time round I am convinced. This is what the queen of denial will do, to make it sound better, what the extreme optimist would do. *sigh*

Why steal? ‘cos you like the same camera as I do? cos you wanna resell it? But it has a crack on it and without the adapter and other parts, you can’t fetch a good price. Desperation drove you to do that? I have not come across someone that desperate in my school yet.

Photobucket

Daddy God, i pray for Your blessing, favour and protection to be on me and my belongings. I no longer hold any grudges against the person who stole my camera but I pray that You will cast Your light on him/her. Help the person to realise that this is not the right mean to achieve things. In Jesus name,  Amen.

FREAKING PISSED!

Photobucket

DARNED! I LOST MY BELOVED CAMERA! IF YOU ARE THINKING OF RUBBING IT IN, YOU BETTER THINK TWICE COS I AM GONNA EXPLODE IN YOUR FACE!

YOU WHO STOLE MY CAMERA, I HOPE YOUR CONSCIENCE PIERCE AT YOU.

TODAY IS A DAY FULL OF CRAPPY INCIDENTS ALL ROW INTO ONE. MAY TMR BE A BETTER DAY. GOODBYE, MY SWEET LOVE. I’LL BE MISSING YOU.

Trust is not in its bind, but in its bond

Photobucket
Little girl and her father were crossing a bridge.
The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter,

‘Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don’t fall into the river.’

The little girl said, ‘No, Dad. You hold my hand.’
‘What’s the difference?’ Asked the puzzled father.

‘There’s a big difference,’ replied the little girl.
‘If I hold your hand and something happens to me,

chances are that I may let your hand go.

But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens,

you will never let my hand go.’ In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond.

So hold the hand of the person who loves you rather than expecting them to hold yours…
This message is too short……but carries a lot of Feelings.

The most important part of our body

"My mother used to ask me what the most important part of the body was.

Through the years I would take a guess at what I thought was correct.

RSS Verse of the Day

  • 2 Peter 3:10-11
“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives”
