I hate change. Give me the security of familiarity. I rejoice in the warmth of
familiar faces and familiar places. Change takes so much out of me. But I
have also come to terms with the fact that change is the perfect backdrop
for divine encounters. In times of change we discover what does not change.
Therefore, often, in times of change, we discover/rediscover God.

I met two friends (separately) yesterday. Both were going through major
changes in their lives. I listened to their stories. I noted afresh the turmoil
that comes with change. And the questions that change brings. Many of
these questions had no answers. At least not yet. Still I felt the rightness of
the decisions they had made. (They seem to take change much better than
me.) But all change comes with a cost. I trust that in their transitions, God
will once again come into clearer focus.

How far can you push a man’s limit? just exactly how far? When I thought all the nasty undercurrents that have been dragging me down and under are over and it’s restoration time, a fresh round of tidal waves began.

Why did God allow bad things to happen to good people? I always have that answer ready in my pocket just in case any of my friends were to ask me. But today, slammed with this cruel reality, I stood dumbfounded. Tears streamed uncontrollably when I heard from TS himself that he was diagnosed with cancer. Wasn’t it only a while ago when we were still studying together, and having so much fun? Seeing him in pain when I visited him just now, send me pangs of sorrow. Somehow my reasoning froze up in my mind. I simply can’t reconcile with the fact and my reasoning. But as promised, we will still play Wii at your place when exams are over. Speedy recovery, bro.  Ziwan, if you are reading this, feel free to come and join us k. =)

I’m getting increasingly nonchalant about the adversities in life. How long more can I last?

It is true that we tend to question God about ‘why me’ when our life turn upside down but have we thought of saying ‘why not me’ in time of difficulty. ‘Men can plan but God direct their steps’ so let us live one step at a time because we do not know what is around the corner. Enjoy your life and spend as much time with your loved one when you can. Have a good day commune with the Lord.

Into The Thin Air

It is one thing to be misunderstood and another to be totally deserving of it. Maybe it would have been better if i can just vanish from the surface of this earth. This is really too much to bear. My heart can no longer take the stress. Maybe it is time.

When all these crying and calling out for help serve no purpose… When help is in front of me yet I can’t grasp it… When God is real and true but Satan still seems to reign over me… When nothing that is done makes matters any better… I cease striving… Completely.

Left speechless and drained of tears. Behind that smile is a broken soul, awaiting to snap anytime.
