All Roll Into One

It has taken a toll on my peanut memory trying to recall what happened over the past months that are worth recording. Thank God for photos! It aids greatly in the regurgitation process :D

Perth- June

Photobucket

Isn’t it amazing? Total distance driven: 1272km!!!

Such an awesome trip with the 2 boys, till now, I still reminisce the cool weather, awesome adventure and sights. :D

Shaw Tower-June

Photobucket

This is one kinda must-try ice cream when you are in Bugis area. It has lotsa funny flavours. I really mean outta the world flavours like black sesame, apple pie, sarsi, grapefruit and granny’s favourite which  I have no clue what kinda flavour that is!!! Anyhow, it’s cheap and yummy so a definite must-try when you’re at Shaw Tower!

Photobucket

Have you seen a more expensive box of grapes than these? A whooping $128 for a box of Japanese grapes. I recalled someone telling me something like it’s super sweet and the core has a tinge of red wine. Don’t know how true is that till I try.. :D

Photobucket

The most special homecooked seafood dinner I have ever tasted. It came as a more-than-pleasant surprise after my Perth trip. :D *beams* √ one more point to the score board

Photobucket

Purple sweet potato :)

Photobucket

Oops taken only when the flower is about to wither. √ one point for surprising me with the flowers. √ another one  for making sure that your presence is felt while you are away for your business trip. ;)

Raffles Place during lunch

Photobucket

Body Shop launched their new product, Deep Sleep Dreamy Pillow & Body Mist at Chervon House. The highlight of this launch is the POWER NAP CONTEST! Check out that uncle sleeping like a dead log on the elevated bed. I swear this is not an act. I am dead certain he has been sleeping for quite a while before I came. Too bad I wasn’t daring enough to give it a shot. But this is extremely amusing for me!

Photobucket

Yummilicious lunch along Circular Rd. Subsequent lunches were yummy as well but too hungry and tired to snap anymore pictures. LOL :D

Saddle Club- August

Photobucket

Hidden in the lush greenery with fabulous ambience and real horses in sight, it’s sure a delight for two.

√ one more point for bringing me here.

Photobucket

Bakerzin August Promo!

Photobucket

Panna cotta with strawberries! :D

Photobucket

Tutti fruitti :D

All these goodness are going for half price! Oops, it’s only in the month of August. Hope you had your fills already! :D

Photobucket

Last but not least,

eCR Status: The eCR SYSTEM is not accessible to you because you have graduated. CONGRATULATIONS! (GRD)

YAYNESS!!!!

I am finally a graduate! After so long, all the pains of going for lectures, feeling guilty when I miss class or tests and even prelims, the months of mugging like a nerdy slug and panic during and after exam, IT IS FINALLY OVERRRRRRR!!!

To add on to my exuberance, this year’s results is the BEST of my 3 yrs in SIM! Though prior to this, each time I walked out of the exam hall, I had the feeling I was gonna flunk it, the results say otherwise! Thank God for pulling me through those shady mugging period. When all joy is gone, His omnipresence is one good reason to stay afloat. Praise God! For
I alone could not have achieve all these. Surely, unmistakably, it must be His goodness and doings. :D

Thank God oh-so-much!!! With that, I shall empty my cupboard of any remnant-notes! Yayness~

3 cheers to weekends! I never knew how to appreciate it till workload always threaten to crush me during weekdays. Alright, it’s sleeping time. I will force myself to sleep till noon. Wooohooooooo! :D

When The Clock Strikes Twelve…

Everything goes back to normal. But before that, relishing the moments of  fun and indulgence :D

Post ESAP (this is way overdue)

Right after ESAP,  Ziwan and I were so ecstatic! And we just gotta make fun of this birthday boy who also took the same paper!

Photobucket

Crazy as we are, we started singing him a birthday song in the crowded train! Who cares right?! So long we had fun!

Photobucket

Of cos he is embarrassed!!

Photobucket

In the end, his face and ear turned red! Mission accomplished! A few things to note here:

  1. Don’t ever offend women, cos some said their fangs are more poisonous than the most venomous serpent!
  2. Don’t stray into me and Ziwan’s path after a draining examination unless you wanna be make fun of! (which we will gladly do that anytime of the day!)

Cheers! Hope you like your birthday song, Kunquan!

Photobucket

And also,  we celebrated Jules’ birthday @ Sofra. Awesome-ness!

Photobucket

Youth GDOP was great! That’s some of my ex CG girls, so so pleased to see how they are all growing up gracefully! :)

As the clock strikes twelve, everything goes back to normal. So it’s back to my studying mode again. One thing for sure, the past few days seem so magical. :D

Attitude.

Photobucket

Attitude, unlike any other academic fields or life skills, cannot be taught. It frustrates me very much when someone instead of assuming responsibilities when in the wrong, chose to shaft the blame to others. It’s as though the whole world ought to treat them well. Get a life, cos no one owes you a living. Lest you change your stinky attitude, you’ll probably face the same problem everywhere you go.

To this other person who frustrates me just as much. You seem to have a liking on other people’s possession. Be it human or objects. But like what A said, and she said it best, “Time will tell.” That happened to be something which I kept telling myself too.  :) Ultimately, one day, you will be exasperated from all your acts and realised that you have no one by your side. As for now, though I have lost something which was once of dear value to me, it kinda loses its meaning holding on to it. You can have it all. But your joy won’t be for long. I sometimes wonder, in trying to acquire all these to yourself, are you genuinely happy? What’s the point of winning this one victory and losing everything else? I wish you luck in the acquisition of your next trophy.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Totally! How can I be doing nothing on my post-ESAP-pre-Strategy day! So here’s the list of my accomplishment:

  1. Grocery shopping for the picnic tomorrow
  2. Swimming in the blazing sun
  3. Visit the National Museum for the Christian Lacroix  Exhibition
  4. Ransack Frankie’s office (it was a failure, I ended up tidying it)
  5. A well deserved Italian dinner w Frankie
  6. Yong Ling’s surprise party!

Yup, lotsa running around but I am enjoying my limited freedom to the max! Phewww! That’s an exhaustive list but wait till tomorrow. More happening stuff up next. I am attempting to cook. Yeah cook! And I can’t wait for the picnic at Fort Canning while watching Much Ado About Nothing :D See, life is so exciting without exam!

Photobucket

Saw this on the web, it’s so funny that I hafta put it up!

Ending here with some quotes which I find them really cool,

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm
wrinkles the soul. ~ Samuel Ullman

If I could wish for my life to be perfect,
it would be tempting but I would have to decline,
for life would no longer teach me anything.

Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadows. ~Helen Keller

Exceeding Joy Is Mine!

What has OTIA done to us?

It got us all fidgety before the paper. Unexpected things do happen in the exam hall. Like today, another very typical Bethia moment happened again. I reached the venue unusually early so I decided to check out the sitting plan.  Being nice, I helped my beloved Ziwan checked hers as well. You see, my puny brain can’t seem to remember 2 sets of 3 digits very well. So I remembered Ziwan’s seating number perfectly well and got mine mixed up. Instead of sitting at #548, I sat at #538!

The funniest thing that happened was that the rightful seat owner was unsure of herself when she was wondering why her seat was taken. So as usual, being typically ya-ya, I answered very confidently that I was at the right place. She has to run out to check her seating number again. By now, you may have guessed the outcome. OMG!! You should have checked out the facial expression man. Actually to Ziwan, it was brilliant. I wished I never have to re-enact that again! That was seriously a bad start to my most dreaded paper!

But did anyone ever tell you that prayers do wonders? After a quick prayer, I was brought back to my initial state of mind. As for the paper itself, it wasn’t all that fantastic. Like how fabulous can it be when it is OTIA??? One thing to give thanks for, it was His amazing grace that carried me through. From the revision to the penning of the answers, every step was taken with much pain and difficulty. The tremendous torment that all of us went through to prepare for this incorrigible paper is unimaginable. Anyone who sat for the paper will agree with me, right folks?

So one can imagine that unspeakable joy when the paper was finally over. Never ever, no more OTIA ever again! Ultimate Yayness! The way outta Expo was so filled with laughter! Taking train with Danny, Kun Quan and Ziwan was even more fun! We cracked jokes all the way from Expo to Bugis and beyond! No more OTIA really gives me a new definition for freedom and liberation! *A huge sigh of relief*

To celebrate this joyous occasion, Ziwan and I went dating! YAY! :D

Photobucket

My first happy meal after the paper! Gosh was so filling can!

Photobucket

Her meatballs are darned delicious!

Photobucket

I wouldn’t trade this for anything else! Her million dollar look!

Photobucket

Outside Ode to Art. I wanna do the Mao Ze Dong post. Trying to keep to a lookout to see if people are actually noticing what we are doing.

Photobucket

All cleared!

Photobucket

LOL! :D seriously i don’t know what got into me! So I concluded, it must be the new found liberty!

Photobucket

The anguish look. Eh how come he looks like he is also taking OTIA??!!!

Photobucket

I believe he takes OTIA as well!

Photobucket

Ain’t this cute?

Photobucket

Due to the recent Swine flu, our store shall retrieve all the related products. We apologise  for the inconvenience caused.

Photobucket

The red army continues to command and conquer!

Photobucket

That’s team work!

Photobucket

What a blissful night. Kudos to Ziwan who make it so fun. Without this lovely babe around, there will be no laughter. Awwww… Let’s mug for ESAP together okay? :D

Photobucket

Praise the Lord, He is good, all the time! Bliss after bliss after bliss. :D As my night starts to turn gray, Mama Fam past me some mighty macarons!  They are next to chocolates! Awesome! Thank you so much, Ade! :D

After having such a huge meal, Ziwan and I conquered a yummilicious dessert. If that is not all, my mom bought me sushi which I felt so obliged to finish them. Just thought the night will be incomplete without chocolates. So I had some Royce chocolates. Hahahaha that summarise to the word “FAT!” With that, I will force myself to swim tomorrow!

All things are great because He is in this jouney with me. Praise and glory be to Him, now and forever! :D

Pack Up & Go!

Leng saved the day

A couple of times when  I was at my wit’s end, Leng came to the rescue.I thank God specially for a brother like him. :D

Photobucket

Fellowship over meal is a great time to bond :D Right, Leng?

Photobucket

Aha! That piece of leaf looks strangely familiar. Like we have seen it somewhere before! LOL up to my nonsense again!!

Photobucket

Leng saved the day, Again :D

You were the first one to be there, to see me at such an ugly state and walked through the valley with me. Thanks once again. Very much appreciated.

Photobucket

Happy snacks

Photobucket

Low fat products rock my socks!

BIG thank you & hugs to those who so willingly hear me whine over and over again, who prayed for me and watched me cry silently. I am warmed by your presence. It means a lot to me. I pray a prayer of blessing over you and that as you given unto others, may it be multiplied so many folds back to you :D

♥ This road is not lonely because I have you guys ♥

Experiences

Drinking beer in the library

If you want a good heart, think positive and drink beer. LOL, i reckon i must be really bored of studying.

One good day after studying in school, Boying and I headed down to KAP. And i had HAPPY MEAL! It comes together with this delightful toy! :D

After Mac, was supper with the folks. Awesome-ness as usual :)

Check out my bangs!! This week is full of brand new experiences. Earlier in the week, I went for a super-duper cool haircut at KR+ which took almost 2 hours! All I said was I wanted a new look but maintain the length and here we go! Can’t even remember when was the last time I had bangs. Yup am certainly lovin’ it! :D

My another outta-the-world experience is to walk ALL THE WAY home from Beancurd City. If you have been to Beancurd City, you will realise that the distance is “a little” outrageous. Thankfully, I had Leng with me and not forgetting the wonderful sharing along the way.

Prego

My first time at Prego with Laurel and Jassine! More fun and laughter as per normal!

Sautéed mushroom

Seafood pasta. Yummilicious!

Sinful gratification.

Republic Poly

Absolutely cool! It has the facet of a designer school :) Did I mention that the library is humongous and the water features all around the school premises make it very relaxing and conducive. I really think that the students there are so fortunate to be blessed with such a good environment.

To replace the deafening silence of the library was the constant melodious sound from the piano which envelopes the whole place. Need I say more about how i am loving their facilities? :D

I always thought that if i have to eat alone, I’d rather skip my meal. But yesterday I discovered that this might not hold under extreme circumstances. In the blistering coldness, i endured lunch alone. oh man, that is something which i have not experience in a long time.

So that was my experience-full week. With that, we are down to 2 weeks before exams. Let’s talk about battle-readiness! :D

Just for entertainment…

The Lost Fart

Mash Ups

A Blessed Birthday

Dinner with the usual khakis is a must!

Big thank you to Suyee for this awesome cake! Thanks for remembering, babe!

Making a long list of wishes.

With the lovely, Suyee :D

Hey Calvin, thank you so much for sucha big bouquet of flowers and books. I was really surprised and… speechless! Cheers!

After class was meeting up with Wilson :D Awesome as always!

Zsofi

Caleb and I

And the rest of the guys came along. We turned the night into a laughing, eating and cruising adventure!

Happily engaged. Congrats!!! :D

By the time I sink into my bed it was almost 3! Oh gosh, fun overloaded. So thankful that it turned out to be a blast when initially I don’t even intend to celebrate my birthday. Yup, so wanna thank the guys for their spontaneity and good cheer! :D

This is also a good time to treasure some good O’ friends who know me inside-out and write me cards which almost made me tear. Here is an extract of what I meant…

“Please get better boyfriend(s) in future who wouldn’t treat you bad, quite exasperating to have to keep asking you to ‘snap out of it’…” “It’s time to outgrow your BIMBO self, 23 years old already…”     ~Boying

And of cos, my dearest Beryl, chose the prettiest card which I absolutely love and her message just tugged at my heartstrings. :)

Not forgetting all the well wishes from friends on Facebook and sms-es, awwww they are oh-so-sweeeet!

Yeah and also the extraordinary blessing which I received after buying my phone. Just as I was regretting buying such an expensive phone, my mom showered me with a love gift (which she don’t usually do) and I managed to sell away an old phone for an unbelievable price. That covers 3 quarts of the price I paid! Praise God! :D Good things happen to those who believe and dare to hope! :D

That marks the end of a heartwarming and joyous birthday celebration. Once again, thank you my beloved Daddy God, Mommy and friends! Love ya! :D

Zsofi

What was supposed to be a studying day turns out to be a food indulgence day. Darned, can’t concentrate at home, get distracted outside, so where on earth should I study?

At MOF

Stone Rice :D

Healthy salad

Strawberry Sundae :D

Mocha Ice Cream :D

Kanten Jelly- it’s made from the root of a plant and is rich is fibre. It’s also believe to have slimming effect. But i guess after eating all those ice cream and what not, all the slimming effect will be gone!

Waraku

Cream sauce Salmon Udon. Awesome! Go try!

REALLY humongous bowl!!! just hafta compare the size of the bowl to a pair of regular chopsticks.

Gimme a sea breeze feeling as i chewed on it. Probably is due to the overwhelming sea salt taste.

Zsofi Tapas Bar

Backpacker inn. The moment i set foot on this forsaken part of Singapore, I am deeply in love with it. Soaking in this vibrant atmosphere and just people watching is cool enough for me. :D

Wall mural tells a sad story. But i love it anyway.

And and the oh-so-gorgeous chandelier which i said i wanna bring it home!

The deco, wooden flooring, carpet and cushions make it a really cozy place to chill at with a group of khakis. Also, for every drink (whether alcoholic or not), it comes with a free tapas of your choice. You’ll be pleased to know that their drinks are cheaper than most places. Such a cool deal, can’t get it anywhere else.

Spotted a vintage beetle just right across the street.

Looks like some kinda printing on hanky, but it’s actually a part of the wall mural as well. I like!

Things we don’t usually see in the day. Man doing a re-painting work. Simply adds on to the flavour of this street.

As i walked past the famous Rocher Beancurd stall, i just hafta take a picture of it man. It’s always so crowded and even if it’s after midnight, there is still sucha long queue. Like all Singaporeans, we just love to eat, don’t we?

Having said that, we come to the end of another not so academically productive week. Sighhh… Alright, I will try harder next week!

Cheerios! :D

Bon Anniversaire!

The happy-looking birthday boy. ;)

Calvin and his exaggerated Tigger face

Sid attempting wasabi. Good try!

The ultimate joker of the night. He seems like high on steroid LOL

SPICE UP YOUR LIFE! (internal joke)

Glorious salmon :D

Beryl and I ♥

Calvin is really high the whole night, reminiscing abt the first 3 months in JC and student council. We had a really good laugh when he said Sid has “betrayed” us over a bottle of shampoo! (internal joke)

Taking such precise measurement to ensure it fits him LOL :)

Taking pictures while going down a travelator ;)

Kinda realise how i actually miss my JC life especially the first 3 months. From the dancing competition where J’s body cramped while teaching 2 woodblocks, to skipping lecture to go for wafer, to playing rummikub in the canteen, to merely saying, “i’ll spice up your life” and cause Calvin to laugh ceaselessly. And someone’s favorite catchphrase, “Come join us..” Argh so much more… We also realised that in order to enter 03S23 we need to fulfill the most basic criteria and that is we MUST fail A-maths during Prelims!!! What a joke but it’s true and that’s how a bunch of funny jokers ended up in the same class. What a divine appointment!
Oh man, i can go on and on forever. We should have another gathering soon when Caleb is back so we can laugh at him again.

Someone is gonna get real lucky this April

While I wait patiently for my Paul Frank & Oakley to arrive. Yoohooooo!!!

Till then, rock on, the weekend is finally here! Wheeeeee :D

Table For Two Please

An overdue picture, taken on the last day of MM lecture. That’s Dr Phil for you. Amazingly, I sat at the most front row. Gonna be the first and last time in SIM! :D

Bukit Timah Food Centre rocks my socks!

For the benefit of our dear overseas friends, this is called fried oyster omelette.

Black carrot cake

Cha kway teow

satay

Chee kway

All these food for just 2 people. I think we must be really hungry. LOL :D

Alrighty, press on, we are halfway into the week. yay!
