If You Wouldn’t Wear Your Dog, Please Don’t Wear Fur

Fashion can be cruel for millions of animals worldwide who are routinely beaten, tortured and electrocuted for their skin.

Mark Ronson is the globe-trotting D.J. who took home the 2008 Brit Award for Best Male Artist and a music industry entrepreneur who is connected with some of the biggest names in the business. But most importantly, he is a loving guardian of adorable Maude, who is pictured here with him in his first PETA ad. They appear next to the tagline “If You Wouldn’t Wear Your Dog, Please Don’t Wear Any Fur.”

Why is this issue important to Mark? He knows that on fur farms, animals are kept in crowded, filthy wire cages, where they often develop neurotic behaviors and become sick or wounded. Fur farmers often kill animals using the crudest and cheapest methods available to avoid damaging the “pelt,” including breaking their necks while they are fully conscious and using anal or genital electrocution.

Undercover investigations have exposed these horrifying practices worldwide. In China, where there are no laws protecting animals on fur farms, dogs and cats are killed for their fur too. The fur is often mislabeled and sold as the skin of another animal, so it’s impossible to know where, or whom, fur products come from.

Remember that the skins of beautiful animals are only worn by ugly people. Mark Ronson wants you to help spread the word that animals should never be fashion victims. Share this ad and encourage all your friends to take the Pledge to Be Fur-Free.

Fireproof

Having watched Fireproof for 2 consecutive days, I must nudge everyone to watch this too. Be it in love, single or outta love, this show tunes us to the real meaning of love.

Must-watch if you haven’t catch that yet.

Good times are fondly reminisced. But they always seem so short.

In facing the upcoming week, I told myself I need another retreat soon. Am thoroughly looking forward to 30 August! Food date with PJ and family and the rest!

Studying for OTIA is so depressing. I mean it. It’s like you know the stuff, yet you don’t know them. I thought I knew the material till I look at the solution that the examiner gave. Looks like it’s completely 2 different ball game altogether.

BUT surely, I am excited cos all these agony of going thru OTIA is gonna end tmr!!!

While studying at Starbucks, I came up with a list of things that I hafta google when I get back.

Yes, play Bejeweled on FB was one of the agendas! I’m so addicted to it. In fact, that became the first thing I did after I switched on my com!

I WANNA GO FOR CHRISTIAN LACROIX EXHIBITION!!! It’s so hard to come by and I will regret to miss it. Drop me a text message if there’s anyone out there who is interested k. Be quick cos it’s gonna end soon!

With that, happily awaiting my joy to return.

Upon that billions and trillions of stars, God calls each one by name. How awesome is that! He must be very creative to do just that! Yet in all His majesty, He cares so deeply for each one of us.

The Maker of Heaven and Earth in all His splendor concerns Himself with such small details. He need not hafta bother about these teenie weenie little details but yet He does. Can you imagine, one day He goes like, “Oh, #347 strand of hair has just fallen off from your head!!” He cares even for the finest things that concerned about us. Not because of our significance but because of His great love! Putting everything together, the God who sprinkles the stars in the galaxy, giving name to each one of them, is also the same God who promises never to leave us nor forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5)

The word “never” in this passage is from “ou me”, in Greek what is known as an emphatic negative . In other words, “never” means just that! Never!)

I really think all the UOL examiners got a pay cut of sorts. They are venting their frustration at the expense of our exam! If not, why are all the papers so unexpectedly tough this year!!! Tell me WHYYYYYYYY?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was looking for something on the web and stumbled across such pretty flowers. I can’t resist the urge to just slot them in even though they have nothing to do with examinations!!
